CAR...

• Walk around your vehicle and caravan for a general check for any damage or worn parts that may need repair.
• Check that you have appropriate tension in your fan belt and that its condition is still good
• Check you have enough water/coolant in the engine and that you have an adequate amount of brake fluid
• Check your oil levels in both the engine and transmission
• Ensure you have a full tank of petrol
• Windscreen washer full
• Wiper blades in good condition, AND you have a spare set
• Ensure your tyre pressure/condition is good on car and van, don't forget to check both spare tyres as well
• Check wheel nuts
• Look at the condition of the various hoses in your engine, are they still ok? Do you have spares?
• Is an insect screen in front of the radiator required?

CARAVAN...

• Have you purchased supplies or will you get those at the destination?
• Check that the fire extinguisher is securely fitted
• Check that your gas bottle(s) is/are securely fitted and full
• Ensure that your brakes have been checked and adjusted if necessary
